We currently use stoneware clay in our studio. It is fired to 1220°C - 1240°C which means it is sturdy and suitable for everyday use.
We only use food safe glazes.
Our ceramics could be used in a microwave or a dishwasher, but we reccomend to carefully hand-wash using a non abrasive sponge or cloth to preserve the longevity of your wares. We did not cary out extensive testing for dishwasher or microwave use.
Microwave can heat up the dish and make it too hot to handle, uneven heat distribution could make it crack. Be careful while handling hot contents as ceramic surface will become very hot.
Do not use our pieces for cooking on the stove or in the oven and do not place it in the freezer.
Be careful while handling, as dropping a ceramic item could damage it beyond repair.
Overall our ceramic items are best suited for serving, rather than cooking.
